Here's a tip.

Annoying:

1.
Pass the mustard.
It's MUSTER...the word was used in the military and referred to assembling troops for inspection and such. Look it up. That is what my dad made me do long ago and why I know this. And now I am tortured until I die with people saying it wrong.

2.
Is Dennis babysitting?
This is a new one. My friend Jeanene pointed out to me that no one calls it babysitting when we watch the kids, so why is it when Dad is? No, he's parenting, not babysitting. And since she pointed that out, that bothers me.

3. Emails sent without verifying with Snopes.com. Please check with them if it sounds too good to be true, someone is going make money, get something for free, or is gathering info for a science class.

4. People who don't tip well and send food back.

Not a whole lot going on right now, obviously.

What idiots do you know who walk around talking about passing mustard? Oh....they are probably the same people who sing "For the land of the free" in the Star-Spangled Banner instead of the correct, "O'ER the land of the free." Why are we the only smart people left in the world? Sigh...it is hard being perfect.

As a friend of mine once said, yes, most people ARE stupid. I hate "mis-cheee-vious" and "irregardless". But then, I was an English major. Maybe I'm too picky?
We pick up our three teenagers today! If you feel like a little fun, come visit Granbury for the 4th and meet them ... if you can swim out of Georgetown!

Oh, and how about the most useless phrase ever, "As it were..." I used to work with a guy who said that ALL the time. Drove me nuts!

My friend got in SUCH trouble at work (in the faculty room of the school we teach in) for saying he was going to babysit his own children. I agree, it's not babysitting if they're YOUR children, but I do think my colleagues took it a bit too far with him.

I'd never thought about the babysitting term before, but yeah, that makes a lot of sense. Daddies don't babysit. Good one to remember.
